About Me

I am Fletcher, a graduate of Regents School of Austin. I am part of a large extended family, although I am an only child.

I love basketball, tennis, rock climbing, running, swimming, guitar, listening to music, writing, and exploring. Perhaps that adventurous attitude is why a Gap year appealed to me, or maybe it is just that my mind is tired of school. Like many kids, I only liked school occasionally–that is to say if the subject matter was interesting, I liked it. If it was boring I didn’t. I am quite ordinary in that way. Perhaps what makes me extraordinary is what I considered interesting subject matter. Many things that I found interesting seemed supremely boring to my peers. That may partly be due to my being an only child or just my own personal quirks. I love being outside, which obviously does not cater to the school life, but I manage. I love adventuring into new areas. New fields, new items, new experiences and new circumstances.

A few extra weird, or what some may consider interesting things about me are that I have a peanut allergy, I am seemingly allergic to nearly everything in nature, I am 6’7″ (yes I play basketball and no, the weather is not any different up here) and I am a ginger; although that fact fades away as the years go by, my roots slowly shifting to brown.
